Did you feel a curious, royal tingling in your loins Thursday night? Couldn’t quite put your finger on it? Reports are flying in about royals Meghan & Prince Harry hanging out at 1Hotel South Beach on February 7th at the behest of banking behemoth JP Morgan. The investment bank apparently beckoned the Duchess & Duke / Prince with their private Gulfstream 650, whisking the hot Megxits from Vancouver to Palm Beach. They reportedly stayed at Serena Williams’ Palm Beach mansion before making their way to the luxurious, earthy 1Hotel South Beach, where the bank was hosting their Alternative Investment Summit. Attended by the likes of Bill Gates, JP Morgan decided to sprinkle some very young, very hot royalty on the bone-dry, wrinkly event.
Apparently, Prince Harry and the former Suits star were reportedly paid upwards of $1 million for Meghan to introduce Harry to the 400+ person crowd, before the Prince took the stage to discuss his ongoing mental health struggles following the very public, tragic death of his mom, Princess Diana. One can only assume that beyond Harry’s nuclear star wattage, his story of struggle, redemption and royal emancipation is interesting to investors looking for alternative, non-obvious ways to invest in people.
After the speech, Meghan and Prince Harry of course had an intimate dinner at Habitat with Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez. This happened because of course it happened and couldn’t have not happened in Miami.
If they spent the night, is there any chance Harry & Meghan didn’t stay in the 1Hotel’s $37,000/night Presidential Suite or in the more expensive 9,507sf Sky Penthouse? Why, no. No, there isn’t. The bank would never commit such indignity. Royals don’t stay in hotel rooms that don’t sprawl over multiple floors. According to the 1Hotel South Beach website, “Sky Penthouse: At 4,207-square-feet, this two-story suite features four bedrooms, four-and-a-half bathrooms, an expansive living and dining area, kitchen, pool table, den, and a 5,300-square-foot rooftop terrace with sweeping ocean and Miami skyline views as well as several daybeds and sofas for lounging.”
Miami continues to be at the center of the celebrity universe. Have fun at work today.
