Event Recap: The Resy Drive-Thru Was A Moving Feast of Vehicle-Contained Gluttony

Miami’s first-ever Resy Drive-Thru presented by American Express® Gold Card was a night of high-energy culinary exploration, all from the comforts of what South Floridians have come to think of as their second home – their cars.

The list of Miami chefs participating was top notch – Michael Pirolo, Santiago Serrano, Michelle Bernstein, Deme Lomas, Juan Alfonso Urrutia, Mario Carbone, José Mendín, David Lee, and Nano Crespo all teamed up to cook on-site in pop-up tents at 1 Herald Plaza for this two-nights only event which took place on March 18-19.

Guests enjoyed 12 courses as they weaved their vehicles through the different lanes and were served food from enthusiastic waiters brandishing big wooden paddles to safely serve the dishes to diners in their cars. Live entertainment included a bongo drum trio, and roving musicians performing for the crowds. A selection of non-alcoholic “mocktails” created by Cocktail Cartel as well as S. Pellegrino and Acqua Panna water were offered to guests to pair with the different courses.

Nearly 1000 guests went through the experience over the two nights.
